Cowley Safaris respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it and the choices available to you when you enquire about or book a safari with us.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, country, preferred travel dates, hunting interests, group size, estimated safari budget and any information you choose to include in an enquiry. We also receive basic website-use information through analytics and similar technologies.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare personalised quotations, plan and administer safaris, provide travel and booking support, keep necessary business records and improve our website and advertising. We do not sell your personal information.
Lead forms and communication
If you submit a form through Facebook or Instagram, Meta may prefill and process information under its own privacy policy before sending it to Cowley Safaris. If you contact us through WhatsApp, email or another service, that provider also processes information under its own terms. We will use the details you provide to discuss your safari enquiry and may follow up by email, phone, WhatsApp or Messenger.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
We use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand website visits, measure advertising and improve safari enquiries. These services may use cookies or similar technologies and may receive information such as the page visited, browser or device information, approximate location and whether you viewed our safari builder or clicked an enquiry link. We do not send your chosen species, estimated budget or the contents of your enquiry through the Meta Pixel. Google and Meta process this information under their own privacy terms. You can limit cookies in your browser and manage advertising preferences through your Google and Meta account settings.
Sharing and protection
We share personal information only when reasonably necessary to provide requested services, comply with the law, protect legitimate business interests or work with trusted providers who support our operations. This may include professional hunters, travel or permit specialists, payment providers and technology services. We use reasonable safeguards and retain information only for as long as it is needed for these purposes or required by law.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop marketing communication. Some records may need to be retained for legal, tax, safety or contractual reasons.
